Returning to China!!

I had a phone interview yesterday with the same mission agency I was with this past summer. The interview went well and it looks from our discussion I will be returning to China next year to teach English.

I have three weeks left in school before I graduate so I have to keep my focus on the work involved. I have three written assignments to complete so I have to keep those in progress.

I'm excited to have my family here for the graduation ceremony. My parents Keith and Flo will be traveling from Boise, Idaho. My Brother Allen and his wife Sheri will be traveling from Colorado. It will be neat to show them our campus and introduce them to my friends and classmates that have been my encouragement for the whole George Fox experience.

True Confession

I have a confession to make. I didn't participate in this mornings communion service because I wasn't feeling right with my relationship with God. This was my first time ever in my life that I didn't take the elements. The feeling I have is that I need to abstain from the table because I need to go to the Lord in prayer and thought to clear my mind of impure thoughts and motives.

I guess I'm tired of school assignments and the stress of feeling up to par with having to complete everything to graduate in a positive matter. I'm looking forward to graduating but the fact that I'm leaving my friends and classmates next month adds to my fatigue.

I was right in not participating in communion this morning and I'm now motivated to pray on a regular basis to not get tired or have impure motives about those around me.

A glimpse of Heaven.

Revelation 7:9 (NIV)

'After this I looked and there before me was a great crowd that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.'

this comment made my day.

The below comment was written to me by my friend Matt in honor of Veteran's Day. I appreciate the gesture and will pass my thanks to those Veterans of the past, present, and the future.

I just wanted to observe Veterans Day by saying "thank you" for the service you have done for our nation. It is because of courageous individuals such as yourself that we civilians are blessed with our freedom. It is an honor to know you and to call you my friend. Thank you for all you have done and for my freedom!!
